What is Flower Pollen
Pollen is created when plants produce flowers. It is the male germ seed (sperm) of plants. Pollination occurs when the pollen is carried by bees, wind, or other means from the flower's stamen to the stigma of another flower's pistil.
Fertilization results when the pollen reaches the "ovary" of the plant. This is when a seed is created. Without this process there wouldn't be any plant life on earth--flowers, fruits, vegetables, trees, etc.
Pollen is microscopic. So small, it would take almost 10,000 pollen grains to cover the size of your thumbnail. Each grain has an almost impenetrable outer shell. On the inside of the shell is where the nutrients are found.
Think of a seed (such as sunflower seed) or a nut that has an outer shell with the “meat” or other nutrients inside.
Each pollen grain has tiny germinal opening called hilas. These openings are used by the seed to bring forth sprouts.
History of Flower Pollen
Flower pollen extract has an extremely rich history, first used in Sweden where it has shown tremendous health aid for both men and women. Flower pollen extract is entirely different from bee pollen.
